Hamburg

At the Hamburg site, high-temperature incineration forms the core business of Indaver Germany's high-performance waste disposal centre. Following its extensive refurbishment, the hazardous waste incineration plant is one of the largest and most modern facilities of its kind in the world. It can dispose of 100,000 tonnes of waste per year. The waste heat generated in the process is fed into Hamburg's district heating network via a neighbouring combined heat and power plant.

In addition, around 30,000 tonnes of waste are treated annually in the chemical-physical treatment plant and the separation plant for oil-water mixtures. The connected storage facility is used for the safe storage of hazardous waste until further treatment can take place.
